Invoice Cloud™ Names Todd Wiseman Senior Vice President, Market Development
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEFormer Google executive joins MicroFridge entrepreneur and experienced business leader to boost reach of web-based electronic invoicing service.
Boston, Ma – August 13, 2009 – Invoice Cloud, the leading e-invoicing service for software providers and resellers, announces the appointment of Todd M. Wiseman as co-founder and senior vice president of market development. Wiseman, located in Alexandria, VA, will lead the sales and business development activities for select vertical and horizontal partnerships and markets. His more than 23 years of experience in software and software as a service offer an extensive knowledge base to software companies and systems integrators who want to increase their profits and attract new customers.
Invoice Cloud CEO, Bob Bennett says, “Wiseman brings an enormous amount of sales, management and operational experience in the information technology industry. He has played a leadership role in growing strategic market revenues in three Fortune 500 companies.”
Prior to joining the Invoice Cloud management team, Wiseman was with Google. As manager of the Federal Civilian Enterprise Team, he led the sales, client relationship, business development, and partnering strategy for Google's business with the Departments of Health & Human Services (HHS), Veterans Affairs (VA), Justice, State, Homeland Security, USAID, and Energy. Prior to Google, Wiseman was Vice President with SAIC where he ran a large consulting & IT services team. Before SAIC, Todd was Client Director and Vice President for Homeland Security at IBM. Invoice Cloud™ solves a big problem for organizations that spend too much time and money sending out paper bills and processing paper checks. Invoice Cloud provides an easy to use, low cost, custom branded, e-billing and e-payment solution that reduces billing and collections costs by as much as 90%. Wiseman states, “My recent experience with Google confirmed my belief in SaaS. Invoice Cloud is the right idea in the right space at the right time.”
What’s even more compelling is that there’s little to no upfront cost and the solution can be operational in days or weeks, not months. A 2008 Gartner Group survey of 100 companies with sales of $100 million or more, reveals that a savings of $5.7 million a year could be realized for businesses that bill electronically if a mere 2.3% of their invoices are viewed, paid and disputed online.
Wiseman believes that the Invoice Cloud partner model is a key differentiator. His go-to-market strategy is to build partnerships with software companies and their leading resellers and systems integrators. As more and more customers pay bills online, the demand for software to accommodate that trend will grow. According to the July, 2009 issue of Digital Transactions, an estimated 64.4 million households paid at least one bill either through a bank site or a biller’s site. Says Wiseman, “This is a true win-win opportunity. Our partners provide integration support and share revenue, without incurring the development costs related to payment card industry (PCI) compliance. Together, we provide billers with cost savings, enhanced cash flow and improved customer service.”
